Driving - Driving Lessons

Just like any foreign country, there are driving differences. In Mérida it's no different. The vast number of pedestrians, motorcyles, delivery drivers, busses, bicycles, and tourists can be a bit overwhelming.

Take driving lessons with Angel Rodriguez. You'll use a KIA Sedona minivan OR your own vehicle OR we can arrange a smaller vehicle through our rental partner, Mayan Drive, pending availability for an additional charge.

Lesson Covers:

• city orientation
• one-way streets
• signage
• roundabouts
• rules
• what to do if a ticket is issued
• and much, much more

You'll also receive the Mérida Driving Guide. While it may feel confusing and frustrating, following the tips in this guide will help tremendously. Pay particular attention to the pedestrian information, street signs, and what happens when you have an accident.

Hourly Fee: $50 U.S. (includes pick up and drop off at your location)

If additional time is needed after one hour, it is billed in 15 minute increments at the rate of $12.50 U.S./15 minutes. This can be paid in cash (pesos or U.S. dollars) when your lesson is over.
