  • Uxmal
    • The ancient Mayan pyramids of Uxmal are some of the most critical pre-Columbian structures in the world. Out of all the pyramids that were recovered from the jungle, the Uxmal pyramids were, by far, found in the best condition.
  • Santa Elena
    • The headquarters of Uxmal, Santa Elena is one of the largest and most important Maya sites in the Yucatan Peninsula. It's also the home of the Mummies of Santa Elena.
  • Mirador de Muna
    • An open-air botanical garden showcases many types of plants and species that are part of an ecosystem typical of the region. One of the main attractions of the park is the "Grotto of the Alux".
  • Muna
    • A must-see in Muna is the gift shop at the Chun Yaax-Che Restaurant. They have a wonderful display of Maya artisanal products. There is a woman on site that replicates Mayan Codices.
  • Cenotes Mucuyche, Yaal Utzil, & Kankirixche
    • Ancient Maya also revered cenotes as sacred wells. Using sacred cenotes in their rites, the Mayan believed these pools were gateways to the afterlife.
  • Haciendas Cacao & Yaxkopoil
    • Begun in the 16th century to reward conquistadors and Spanish nobles for their loyalty to the king, haciendas were part of an ambitious land-grant scheme by the Spanish crown. Haciendas are similar to southern plantations in the United States.
  • Uman
    • The most interesting history of Uman is found in the Church of San Francisco de Asís. One of the largest churches in southeast Mexico both in size and in height.

You'll also receive Google maps links, restaurant recommendations, and specialized guides with more information about:

  • Ruta Puuc
    • The Puuc route is a tour of archaeological sites that has undoubtedly become one of the favorite tours for Yucatecans and visitors who come to the region.
  • Maya Culture
    • Two thousand years ago, the ancient Maya developed one of the most advanced civilizations in the Americas.
  • Haciendas
    • For centuries, haciendas dominated the economic and political landscape of Mexico.
  • Cenotes
    • Dating back to the Cretaceous and Paleogene geologic period, the Chicxulub Crater is approximately 66 million years old and is the cause of the ring of cenotes in the Yucatan Peninsula.
